I have a precious yorkie who seems to have allergies. He itches constantly. Buster is 5 years old now. 6 months ago his vet said he needed to lose a bit of weight so I added green beans to less of his dry food. After a month, he began itching terribly. So I changed the veggies to carrots. At first all was well, then the itching began again. He was eating the wellness reduced calorie food. I switched to the wellness sweet potato and whitefish food --no more carrots. Same thing--at first he is much improved...then the itching returns. Could he be allergic to something outdoors? Any ideas on alternatives for food? Or will he take benadryl forever?
