Rory (12!!! pounds) and Lane (8 pounds) eats 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup in the evening of Evo kibble. Some mornings they are not hungry though. They attend doggie daycare daily during the work week, so they also eat about 2 generous tablespoons of Innova canned with some mixed in veggies for lunch at daycare - because they are so active at daycare - we don't generally give lunch on weekends unless they are acting hungry. We are also trying to put a little bit of weight on Lane, so that may be too much food for a dog that wanted to maintain 8 lbs.
I have always found the feeding guidelines to be much higher than what I actually feed. I figure they are in the business of selling dog food, so of course they want them to eat more.
