Many ask their vets and the vet will tell them, yes your little 3 or 4 lb female can have puppies with no problem. Many people just have to learn the hard way. Many people get advice from the person they got their yorkie from, or a relative or a friend. Yes, many of them are breeding because they think they can make a little money or they want a puppy for a relative or themselves. These people will always here unless states pass strict laws against breeding and it could come to that some day. YT has only been around a few years but more and more people are discovering it because of the google search engine. People come here for help because they just have not been taught about breeding or even how to raise a puppy and they want to learn. What they learn and how they learn it is up to us, I just don't think telling people to go read a book or watch a video is the answer most want to hear. |
What they learn and how they learn is really up to them. They may not like the answer, read this book, and watch this video, and that's their choice, but I think some of the best answers given in the breeding forum have been a list of books or sites that will get them started. I would like to see YT breeder's forum more of a reference site that can point them in the proper direction. That's how you can tell the serious breeders who really do want to learn more about breeding and those that want to make some spending money. I just don't think that those people should be encouraged.
