I guess I was one of those people who jumped the gun and breed my female 2 times not REALLY knowing about the Genetic structure of this Breed. Even thou we had a lifetime health guarentee on our male we still had a scare thinking he had a shunt. The first litter I sold but to people who lived near me. The second litter I gave as gifts for my best friends. I had to contact each and every one of them to let them know that My Monolo might have a shunt. This was very hard and its still hard because I was irresponsible and did no research prior to Breeding. He does have a mild case of MVD. But for the past 3 weeks I have been beside myself. I listen to those who have no experience like myself and I just want to say to them, DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. Since then I have had my girl Spayed and she has turned into a puppy again. I did keep one of her pups 7 months old now and they are soooo happy. I guess what Im trying to say is please research this before you breed. There is alot more than just whelping and selling...PEACE...Lissette |
