She did eat some last night, but I had to hand feed her a little this morning. She won't drink much on her own so I've been syringe feeding her some water because I don't want her to get dehydrated. I gave her some more pain meds at noon today which I know makes her sleepy..but she still acts like she's in pain. She groans when I pick her up and doens't want to move around a whole lot. Usually with laproscopy they recover a lot quicker. I just feel back for her and hope she feels better soon. |
Huh, laproscopy should've been easier on her but it was still abdominal surgery. The diarrhea is the only thing that I'd be overly concerned with just because of the dehydration risk. How about syringing PediaLyte?
What pain medication is she on?
If I remember right, you don't give grain but how about making her some chicken breast and sweet potato or something? Maybe the smell will entice her and it would be good moisture.
lol, I'm sure you know to check but are her gums pink?
