I agree w/ what Crystal has been saying here. The vet not wanting to give certain things bc of a "tiny liver" doesn't make sense to me either. That's like saying you can give a med to German Shephard, but not a Jack Russell Terrier, bc their liver is smaller. For different size dogs, you adjust the therapeutic dose. The liver will do it's job (assuming there is no disease) according to the size of it's creature.
