 Too Close to Home
I live about 45 minutes away from where these dogs were rescued. It was "breaking news" at 5 o'clock the day the dogs were taken from the puppy mill. I had an overwhelming sense of grief and disappointment in humanity when I saw this. How HORRIBLE! I started crying uncontrollably. Who would do such a thing?
To top it all off (you guys all know the rest of the story), on the local news they interviewed a neighbor of the puppy miller, and she said something to the effect of, " I know her, and she loves her dogs and takes good care of them. What people are saying about her isn't true. There is something else going on here. "
WHAT????? Those dogs HAD NEVER BEEN BATHED! They had never been loved or held or had their teeth cleaned for God's sake! Something else going on? Yeah, like a heartless woman who wanted to profit from a pet she considered to be livestock! Reprehensible!
My family and I breed and raise Yorkies, and I can understand a dog going maybe 2 weeks without a bath, maybe 3, but never?????? Cruel, heartless, and she deserves to be put in a cage! |
