I think if I had it to do all over again I would go into computers more. Librarians are becoming more and more useful in that area. many are the webmasters for their organizations. When I retire I'm going to be a freelance informationist. I think that is a trend that hasn't even begun to peak.
And I hate to hear about libraries closing because stupid people think everything is free on the Internet. Think about it. Someone somewhere is paying for the information. Besides, only about 10% of the world's knowledge is available online! The rest is usually dug up in libraries and archives! Oh geez......don't get me started! lol.
