For some reason I had never picked up on the need to avoid sugar free items for Yorkies. Tonight I've read two different threads relating to that subject. I am so grateful for this time to read and absorb experiences others are having with their Yorkies. Granted, I'll probably make my own mistakes but hopefully they will help someone else. |
Yup, artificial sweeteners aren't good but this can get confusing. While I wouldn't want to give any of it, Ellie's Benadryl and toothpaste contains sorbitol and I think the ASPCA has said it is okay. Xylitol is the dangerous one. Then again, sorbitol makes me nervous too...
