No dog should be given annual vaccines (reference would be AAHA and Dr. Dodds/Dr. Schultz). So the answer is no.

However, Ellie is liver compromised and I would not do away with all of them. I would only do rabies if it is required in your area and your vet won't write a waiver. I would consider parvo, distemper and hepatitis but no more than every three years (unless titers go really low) and you might get away with no hepatitis at all. It would be better to do titers instead and he may not need anything. Some dogs have high titers for a life time after one modified live vaccines given after the immune system is fully mature.

If a dog was very sick with liver disease, I would not vaccinate at all and I do think that the Yahoo Group has a good point about stopping all harsh meds like vaccines but then you may have to be very careful about him going outside and that could get old.
