It may be that she is breaking a no-breed contract on one of the dogs, or that her registration privileges have been revoked. It may be that she just doesn't want to go to the trouble. Either way if you think she isn't being honest about this I would walk away. It will be very difficult to walk away once you have held the puppy. You should have a right to return the puppy within a few days if she doesn't pass your vet's exam.
$950 is a lot for an un-papered puppy. |
I would follow the suggestions previously posted. I don't like the fact that she doesn't give you limited registration. 950.00 is high for no papers. I don't care where you live. There has to be a reason why she is not providing papers. If she has them, and is not willing to transfer her to you with limited registration I would be concerned that she is going to scam someone else with your dogs papers. Which of course would mean that she is not an honest person. So who knows if your pup is even purebred or from the parents she is listing(showing you). And make sure you see and read the contract beforehand. Go over all your questions and concerns before you see/hold any of her pups. It is so hard to pass up their cute little faces.
