Oh, now that is SO cool! Isn't it wonderful to watch them improve? My Maltese, Nash, had to have emergency dental surgery a couple of days after we got him. He was so thin you could count his ribs and his breath was so bad, he could have wilted trees! I took him to the vet and was told he was on the verge of sepsis and he was thin because his teeth were so bad he could barely eat. The vet took out all of his teeth but 7, and the poor boy was on antibiotics for 6 weeks, but he finally healed. Today he is a roly poly little gentleman who crunches kibble just fine with the remaining teeth...just so long we buy small enough pellets. He was a sad little wreck of a dog when we got him, but love and kindness and taking care of his medical issues have turned him into a terrific dog.
