The first couple I was scared crazy, however, the needle just goes under the skin not in a vein. By the scruff of the neck is where I would put it - pulling the fur up. It definitely was a god sent that needle, I was really happy when the doctor allowed me to take it home.

I would look into home-made cooking as well. I think we could have managed Oscar’s disease if we would have put him on a home-made diet sooner. We only did that 5 weeks before his passing. Carson is on EVO and once he is adjusted to his new home (been here 7 days, and he is a year old) I will most likely change him to home-made. You also must never feed people food (table scraps), their tummies are so sensitive.

Funny, I feel like I am going to be a much better puppy parent this time. You learn so much the first time, as well this site is an incredible place for information and support (I only joined after Oscar’s passing).
