With 5 dogs, it would be quite difficult for me to take them out for a walk to go to the bathroom all the time. So I have put in a doggy door and love it. I have a ramp that goes from the back door to an enclosed area for them to go to the bathroom. It has made it alot easier for me to train them. And as I got a new puppy, the others would teach her. She would follow them right out the doggy door. It was hard at first for Raindrop, because she was so small. But she is 4 lbs now and does real well with the doggy door. My neighbor has one for her cats. She has a screened porch and the doggy door goes right out to it. (I guess in her case it's a kitty door) So they get to go out and get some fresh air.
