2. What does it mean that "the next five years will be so hard"?
The standard cannot be changed again for 5 years. (Now it is 4 years)
3. Also, if the puppy were DQd because it was too light, doesn't it stand to reason that it will get even lighter as it gets older?
The reason for the new DQ's was to stop parti-colored Yorkeis from showing but because of the wording it affected the light and dark spectrums of our breed.
4. Where can I find the old standard and the new standard so that I can compare the two?
When reading the new standard, just remove the last portion of the standard that deals with the DQ and you have the old standard.
