I'm sorry did you say how old your baby was??? It took my boy a good year and a half to potty train. It does take the breed a little longer than some. I would recommend Pen and Crate training. I do not recommend keeping your little one locked up in a crate all the time. They will end up going in their crate if they spend to much time in there.
I did not let my little one run the house before he was trained unless I was there at all times. And I watched him like a Hawk
I did put the large pen in the kitchen for the first year of his life. It takes up alot of space but it was a great help in helping me to train my boy. My boy is now 4 and has full roam of the house. Be patient and give it time, but you have to very consistent with whatever you do.
