We got Molly this past weekend. Unfortunately her previous owners did not have her spayed so she has had a few litters of puppies, her last litter being in Oct/Nov. They also said that she is now "chunky" cause she still has pregnancy weight on her. They estimated her weight to now be 8ish lbs (previously 6lb)...She had been bred by a toy poodle.

I don't know how much of that to believe b/c when my husband and I brought her home, we weighed her and she was 11lbs. I was just wondering what is the weight range that a yorkie can gain during pregnancy? I know its different each time. How long does it usually take for your yorkie to lose the weight and get back to pre-pregnancy weight?

My husband I were talking and we were just curious... We do love our "chunker" though!

I also wanted to add that she is a red-legged... I didn't know if that would make a difference. Thanks!

Also, is there anything that I need to be doing differently with her versus a dog who has not just had a litter of puppies?
