My girl is such a tomboy she pulls all the stuff out of her hair and loves to roll in the snow, etc. As far as the eyes go I use those round cotton pads to moisten the eye boogies, wait a bit then gently comb them out. Otherwise you pull the fur out too. You may have to moisten them quite a bit to soften them up enough not to pull.
