It is a puppy thing as others have said. My vet actual said, to a dog it is just as tasty when it comes out as it went in..hard to believe huh?
I have seem pups gag, spit and spurter after a dose of flavored medication..how can they stand their own stool?
I beef up the diet just a touch for a few weeks...a bit of cottage cheese or shredded american cheese, few pieces of minced chicken in the dry food..not enough so they can pick it out..maybe it an old breeders tale, but I think something can be lacking in the diet..body needs something...what I do not know. My pups stop when I add extra.
You can spray Bitter Apple on the stool..that worked with Doxie we had. Of course, you have to leave it on the weewee pads for a few hours..not always do-able. |
