I use Wellness ( Core) but both are good foods. I liked the variety of choices in the Wellness brand.
I free feed so I don't know about a schedule , but I would feed a small puppy atleast 4 times ( just breaking his daily serving into 4 portions) a day and leave fresh water down all day. Good luck with your new puppy.
