I think it depends how they are raised, I have a yorkie and a few paps and when I got them they all had their share of barks! Now, they don't really bark unless my little one comes up the stairs in the middle of the night or for other reasons like that. I believe that they can be trained like children. My dogs know that I am not into the barking and once they are used to my routine, they now know better!
