 Update on Daisy
Well, my vet is convinced that my little one has beat the odds with distemper. She is a very happy pup - would never know that she has been fighting off symptoms of distemper. The only lasting symptom is the inflammation in the eyes which makes them appear cloudy. She has been on steriod drops twice a day for this. They are much better because at one time they were almost white/gray. But they are still not clear like my friends who have yorkies. She also still has the mild nervous tic due to the distemper's affects on the neurological system ( not sure of the spelling but my vet called this "myoclonis" ??). It doesn't seem to bother her and it is not getting worse. I was afraid to post an update until I knew she was going to make it. We have become so attached to her and she is doing great! Thanks for everyone's concern. I know we were very lucky to not lose her. |
