Gavin is doing much better. The vet phoned to tell me his bloodwork was fine, just a few electrolytes were a bit out of whack but could be explained from his vomiting/diarrhea. I asked about giving him Benadryl as his skin still looked red and irritated. Before I gave him the Benadryl, I looked at his tummy and it looked much better. Normal except for a bit of red under his "armpits". His skin has cleared up and I am left with the assumption it was an allergic reaction to something.
His stomach is still really sensitive and he was gagging again last night. My daughter gave him some chicken but he vomited it up after a while.z(He had been back to a normal diet for days.) Today he has been fine, with a normal appetite. I might see if the vet can recommend a dog food that might be better for his sensitive stomach. Right now, I have him on Royal Canin "Chihuahua". I don't think he is reacting to the food, (he's always had it) but maybe he needs something that digests more easily. I don't know.
Either way, Gavin is much bettter and thanks everyone for caring!
One of my dogs has a REALLY sensitive stomach, but his come out of the other end if you know what I mean lol. I feed him Nature's Recipe Easy to Digest Fish and Potato Meal. Both of my dogs love it and have been doing well on it for over a year and half.
