Hm, that's tough. To be honest, I'm not sure what to do when you can't count on the crate. It might help to completely clean the crate and sleeping material with a pet stain remover. If you take him out right before you go to bed and right after, will he hold it through the night?
If he sleeps on your bed, will he hold it?
Basically, I would recommend going all the way back to the beginning. Get him an xpen and cover the entire thing with pee pads. Take him out every few hours. Gradually remove the pee pads until there is one or zero, depending on whether you want him completely outside trained. Praise him like crazy when he goes in the right place and do your level best to make sure he never has the opportunity to go in the wrong place. |
