1) What's the deal with the skull and crossbones on the cute clothes for the furbabies? Is it a logo or brand thing? I've liked some of the clothes but didn't purchase because the skull and crossbones just didn't seem to match the innocence of a Yorkie's face.
I'm not a fan either - we just don't buy those things
2) If any of you use the cute little caps and hats, how was the experience of first putting them on? Do you think it hurts the ears?
Bubba has a Harley Davidson cap he got in a GE - he hasn't worn it a lot - but it's so cute! I'll attach a picture at the bottom (And a GE - that's a Gift Exchange that we do for fun here on YT 4 times a year - once you have a 100 posts since you are already a donating member you can participate.)
3) What on earth is a Yorkie-poo? Is that a term of endearment or a bathroom accident?
Yep, Yorkie-Poodle mix
4) What are the doggie colognes? I mean I certainly know what cologne is but why would you slosh some on your Yorkie? Maybe I'm missing something here.
We bypass these - we do use Buddy Splash from Cloudstar www.cloudstar.com -- love the Lavender & Mint - they do have 2 other scents to - this is not a cologne, but it does smell good, more importantly it is filled with natural oils & herbs & it is Superb at getting the tangles out!
5) When we take possession of our puppy, we will then face a 7-hour drive home. We debated about getting a room halfway home but I thought it would be best to reach the house to help the puppy rest. (I know...there's probably going to be no rest...LOL) Is my thinking a mistake here? One consideration is getting home in daylight but we will be able to.
That is a long trip - the pup will most likely do a lot of sleeping.
7) Do you take water with you on your walks for your Yorkie? I've bought a gadget that resembles a water bottle but she can "drink" as dogs do but I don't know if it's really necessary.
For really long walks. But I do keep a small dish in the car & take water with me if we are going to a park, or dog park & will be out walking/playing for awhile
9) Same thing about the clothes...when should I start with them? Should she be a certain age or should I start while she's still adjusting to her new home so she'll just think it's another weird thing here. She's mainly only going to wear them on walks, etc.
She might need them for warmth - mine love to be warm & are often even found with a sweater on, and under a blanket - just like me
10) If I'm the one that does all the upkeep on her...will she associate me with the things she's not particularly fond of?
With enough love & affection - she won't care what you do to her - she will LOVE you, for just being you!
Best wishes for you & your yorkie!
