That's the kind of thing that scares me
Lots of dogs get into lots of trouble biting or getting bit by wildlife we find in our backyards

Snakes are self-explanatory
I had a pt in my office a few years back
he was missing a few fingers on his right hand .... he was a landscaper
and I thought he was going to tell me he had a lawn mower accident or some other mechanical accident
but he said he was clearing brush when a snake bit him on his hand
by the time he reached the ER
His hand was gangrenous
Many snakes have toxins that constrict blood vessels and this will kill a small dog like a yorkie
Small rodents carry rabies and leptosprosis
here in FL there are toads that are poisonous

so it is very important to keep and eye on these little guys because if there is something out there... they're going to find it
