I have given baths to him since he was mine at 3 months. He acts like I will hurt him or something. He cowers down in the shower. I use a hand held nozzle. When he was smaller (he is now 5 pounds) I would put him in the sink, but he would try and escape. It is frustrating. Any tips??? I walk him all the time, play with him... just not a fun time at bath time.
Yes I agree 2 times is too much. When I first had peanut I would give him a bath about 2 times a week and his skin started to get really dry and flakey!!! I didnt know what was going on, so I showed the vet and he said I was giving him too many baths, his skin was dry and he wasnt able to keep his oils on his skin because I kept washing them away!! Now he gets it about 1 every 2-3 weeks and he goes to the groomers too about once a month so I would change his bath time to at least 1 time every 2 weeks...Peanut doesnt like the bath either, I dont think there is anything you can do to help them like it He will try to get out and try to crawl on my arm to get away...I now put him in the tub instead of the sink, I think that helps a lot with a fussy furbaby at bath time!!!
