I recommend a good detangler. I love Buddy Splash from Cloud Star - it is filled with natural herbs & oils and works wonderfully & smells great. My favorite scent is their original, the Lavender & Mint. This is the company website

You need a good pin brush - it is really worth the money to buy a good brush - it is much better on their hair - won't break it and will work better on the tangles. A good comb too. I like the Chris Christensen 20 mm gold pin brush
