I have a tiny girl who is 2 3/4 oz when she was born. All the others are up to 3 and 3.5 now except her. She was 2nd to smallest. She has been the exact same weight on Monday as she is today. She doesn't seem to be gaining or losing. Any suggestions? Seems to be a good "feeder" as well. |
They are 2 days old, right? my last litter I had several tiny ones , and sometimes they seem not to gain as fast as the other ones and one reason for that could be that they waste too much energy to nurse that they burn the calories at the same time , so they end up not gaining but not loosing either. It's better to weight in grams instead of ounces as they may be gaining grams but won't show anything in ounces.
nursing + Bottle feeding may help as well.
