there are two different ckcs from what ive read here...
if you adopted your dog from canada, your new pup is most likely the canadian kennel club (canadian equivalent to akc)
if your dog was adopted in the US and its ckc, then its neither of the mentioned and i hear they're sketchier because they're not as strict as akc or something. hope it helped
