I think its all a matter of what they get used to. My girls have worn clothes from day one and tolerate them just fine. They wear pj's/nighties to bed. They wear coats/sweaters/jogging suits when going out for a walk if it is cold or rainy. They don't wear clothes in the house (other than bed time) unless the power goes out and it gets really cold. Maybe if you gradually reintroduce clothing your pup will adjust. Start with something light like a t-shirt and work up. I also find they are more comfortable having the harness on first, then the clothes on top so the clothes don't get bunched up under the harness. For this you will need a button hole to attach the leash to the d-ring on the harness. Good luck!
