We prefer the roman style. I feel like with this style, the weight is distributed better against the harness. Franklin LOVES to pull and I am more comfortable walking him in this harness. Of course I have bigger dogs so that is something to consider.. a step-in style would likely be more successful if our dogs were smaller. Maggie can easily back up and slide out of her step-in and putting the step-in on Franklin is the biggest hassle. Roman all the way!
