Default My baby has a collapsed trachea...

Last night, Prince's breathing was very labored while he was sleeping. I thought he was snoring because we had spent about 2 hours at his favorite park. When we returned home from the park, I gave him a bath, and he was fine.
My husband kept saying the Prince didn't seem right so we took him to the vet the first thing this morning.
The vet took some z-rays, did some blood work, told us that Prince does have a collaped trachea and gave him a shot of steroids and two perscriptons...Temaril P and Aminophylline. The vet said that it is genetic and very common with small breed dogs. I've read about collapsed tracheas, and therfore used only a harness with his lease, and raised his water and food dishes.
Prince didn''t get lverly tired at the park (I carried him quite a bit) and he didn't interact with other dogs.
Please, I would like to hear from other members who have / are experiencing this.
Thanks for listening.
