Calling animal control was the right thing to do. While we all would have wanted to take the pup and find a "good home" that is actually stealing. However, I do have a friend who stuck to her principals and spent time in jail for just that. She took an abused dog and gave it to someone who took it into another state. When the judge asked her where the dog was she refused to tell them even though it resulted in jail time for her. She said she was not going to allow the original owners to continue to abuse the dog. |
