Yes, I realize that if he was a tiny little Yorkie this would be much more serious than it is......I'm fortunate he has the body weight to be able to withstand this right now. It's been a solid 3 hours at least since he last had diarrhea.....I'm so hoping it's stopping and he'll be on the road to recovery soon. it's so hard when they are sick- especially if you dont' have a site like this- it can feel very lonely when no one gets how upset you are. Good for you for sending your hubby now- get that pumpkin in him and it should really clear things up.
Totally your call- but If you can get the diarrhea and vomiting to stop for 2-3 days i'd then stop the antibiotics and anti nauseant. I'm not a fan of overmedicating and the antibiotics in his system longer than he needs them could really add to more problem. - keep up with the yogurt as long as the antibiotics are in him and for a few days after- i'd be giving hime 4-5 tablespoons when he is back to normal. My Layla is 6 lbs and she gets around 2 tbs at night.
