I am glad to report it's been a couple of hours since his last bout with diarrhea. If only this can last....and stop.

This is a wonderful site. I am so glad you are all here to advise me and encourage me. What a wonderful thing you are all doing.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
see i'm on the other side of the yogurt debate- If Layla is sick- she gets pro biotic yogurt- her poor little belly has NOTHING good left in it and she needs the good bacteria in (in my opinion) but if giving it to him made him throw up them perhaps stop. But you mentioned his is on antiobiotics? if that is the case FOR SURE he needs the pro biotics in yogurt (however make sure the yogurt you are giving him HAS active live cultures in it and it is NOT "lite" as that tends to have aspertane which is bad for dogs.
but do make sure he is getting some watered down pedialyte. just not in grape flavour (grapes are toxic).
When you start to introduce food again i'd go with white rice and boiled chicken breast- it is very bland and should be easy on his tummy- poor little guy.
