The norm for an unproven stud is to waive the fee. A reduced stud fee is acceptable. The breeding process is not only to prove your stud and provide yorkies that are a good representation of the breed, but to establish yourself as reputable. There is a great deal of responsiblity as a stud owner too. Make sure that the owner of the female is reputable too, willing to uphold her end of the contract. Oh! and make sure that the female has gone through all the medical tests too. Eyes, ears, heart tested. Knees and hips x-rayed too. Bile acid tested.
