Oh, I can relate! Our ancient Foxy has been sick and yesterday was her first spunky day in weeks. Hubby went out front to get the mail yesterday, and the old lady followed him without either of us seeing her. Fortunately our front is a fenced in courtyard, so she couldn't leave the property.
Anyway, bedtime came and we called the dogs in and the old Foxy didn't show up. We actually went out in the back, which is huge, with flashlights, looking for her. Then, for some reason, I went to the front door and opened it and guess who was snoozing on the mat? She was asleep and since she is hard of hearing, she didn't hear us calling her! I was nearly beside myself with worry about her, she's been so sick, and there she was, napping on the doormat! |
