I know! I found this out when our Pug dog escaped the backyard through a fallen fence board. We had to find her on our own. I posted 70 signs throughout our neighbourhood (and was still putting them up) when some kids on bikes told me that they found her. Apparently the contract for animal control in our area expired in the fall of 2008 and noone has bothered to renew it.
