I have never heard about it leaving a scar. I have a friend/mentor who is a hollistic groomer and she doesn't do top knots either. She said when she was a vet tech she saw too many problems with dogs that had them. They pull the skin and can actually cause problems with the eyes because they are pulled so tight you are pulling up on the eye lids and such. Seems like there was more to what she told me about that, but I don't remember it all. I keep Wookie
