I made that trip 3 times there and back today! Sometimes I can make it in 45-50 mins, but only with light traffic.
Anyways, we are home until the morning, and then it's off to the specialist we go! Missy has a fracture
My vet did xrays with just sedating her. Because she didn't put her under anaesthetic, she wasn't able to get good clear xrays, but she could see enough to know that she needs to see a specialist immediately. The specialist quoted me 3,000 -3,500 for her surgery tomorrow. I have to have her there at 8:30 a.m. She is on two different medications (I've paid $500 already in vet visits). I am really upset with the first vet that we saw on Sunday. He prescribed her more than double the dose of Metacam that she should have. It makes me wonder how much was in that shot he gave her. It was definitely enough to make her seem OK yesterday. She's eaten, taken her meds, and is now chewing a bullystick. Besides this, everything that can go wrong today... has. I've run out of gas, I've been late for appointments. The list goes on. Please make tomorrow a better day
