I am assuming the same thing, but my emails to KUSA are going unanswered.
I have never shown a dog in SA...I'm from the Bay Area...so this is all new ground for me. Things are handled very differently here...breeders register not only the litter, but the individual pups, and must be members of KUSA in order to do so. The breeder has a KUSA ID number and card, but you get your pup without papers!! The papers, which have a three generation pedigree printed on them, are mailed out by KUSA after the breeder registers everybody.
I haven't located much info about showing here, so I haven't been able to contact the dog show circuit to ask them, either.
The breeder asked me to name her and was I shocked to find that you have a limit of 15 characters and spaces for the name! As I recall, AKC was 30+! |
