I don't know if my breeder is having the tails docked.
Like I said, I'm kinda chicken-hearted about having it done, but if she turns out to be show quality and I want to show, a natural tail is a liability. I've tried emailing KUSA to see if they are going to change the standard to accommodate the change in the law, but received no answer. I suspect not, since they ascribe to international breed standards.
So what happens if you want to show your dog but can't get the tail docked to conform to standard? (This will be a dilemma for all Yorkie show people in South Africa who get pups after June of this year.) |
