I remember the day I left Buddy FREE. I couldn't wait for the day to be
over! He didn't have an accident but he did eat some of the corner's
off my throw rugs. Next day more corner plus a rung on my dinning
room chair. Next day more chewing rugs plus the bathroom rug.
Etc, etc. It finally stopped the day he chewed the skirt on my love seat.
That day was almost the end of Buddy. After that I must have scared him
so much with my "mental fit" he never chewed anything else.
That was 4 1/2 yrs ago. I choose to allow this to happen I know but
I felt it was like raising a child. If you remove one thing then before you
know it everything you own is locked up somewhere. My kids never touched
anything and I was determined that Buddy wouldn't either. It took 13
throw rugs, 1 rung on the dinning room chair, the bottom chewed out of
my blue velvet LR chair which he claimed as his, a throw pillow, corner
of my kitchen floor border and started chewing the front door as well to get out.
When he chewed my love seat that was it! I think I got my message across when I scared the living poop out of him. It worked because he never chewed
another thing after that. I wish you luck. Open the door slowly tonight.
Finger's crossed he was a good boy.
