Hello - I don't crate my Oscar any more and quit doing so after I felt pretty confident with his house training, which could have been around Samson's age - 7 or 8 months...My dog is pad trained so if your dog is pad trained he may be OK in the house.. however, sometimes Oscar gets in to things he shouldn't - he found a Christmas stocking and ripped it up - what a mess but he doesn't do that kind of stuff everyday....
