Thanks for your suggestions. I'm investigating these options. Right now we are trying to keep him off the couch...as well as we can anyway. This means that since I want to cuddle with him that I'm on the floor too. This is no fun but I hope that in a couple of weeks we can introduce the stairs and teach him to only come up when he is invited.
