My older daughter told me when we took Theo off to the vet the other night that he sat on the stairs crying until we got back...poor little guy must of though his brother wouldn't come home for a week again... I keep reminding myself God never gives you more than you can handle...and you never know a miracle can happen. We are prepared to do what ever it takes I already sold a few possessions that had value on craigslist and will keep doing so if need be. I rather have a little healthy bouncy puppy than a diamonds or furs... Beside I only wore those things when my life was empty before I had my beautiful daughters and bouncy little puppies...I think life throws you curve balls to teach you lessons that other wise you may of never learned. Just seeing how many wonderful caring people are out there praying for us is heart warming...my daughters log in an read all this and find it hard to believe that there are wonderful caring people that you may never meet who care enough to stop and write something and most importantly pray for us...I think I need to try to get back to work here and focus since my mind keeps wandering off on what tonight will bring...I will let you all know and as always thank you for keeping us in your prayers...Cheryl
I am glad your Yorkie is a fighter. My last Yorkie Snickers was diagnosed with liver shunt when he was 6 yrs old. The best screening test was the bile acid test. The scintigraphy test was also necessary to determine if surgery could help him. Our vet told us that some liver shunts can be controlled with medications. Snickers required surgery and he did well. Last year he became dehydrated ( 1 yrs after surgery). We took him back to University of Georgia Vet school and the TEchnician vet inserted an IV with a pump and forgot to watch him so Snickers drowned with 1 liter of IV fluids instead of 5 cc of fluids. They killed Snickers. I advised everyone to be alert and follow advised step with your sick dog. I will continue to pray for the recovery of Theo.
