But sure as heck never BIT anyone. Here's what happened... Our friends have a Yorkie. He's the most hyperactive, HORNY little dog I've ever seen in my life. He's really just a bad-mannered dog. I never allow them to bring him to my house. Well last night they invited us for dinner and dessert and wanted us to bring Reese. I told them OK, but I don't want their dog exposed to her (He'd hump my baby like crazy!!!).
Well sure enough they had their dog out all night. All he did was torment Reese. She wanted no part of it.
Well about an hour before we left, Reese was laying next to me, and their dog had his nose so far up her butt I'm surprised she didn't bite him. Chayce (my 3 year old SON) walked over to pet Reese on the head, and within a split second their dog lunged toward chayce and BIT HIM IN THE FACE!
I was BEYOND furious because all night i'd told them their dog was getting annoying. Chayce was bleeding like crazy, but "luckily" it was just 2 small teeth marks on his lip. Yep. Their dog bit my baby boy on his freaking MOUTH!
They gave us his paperwork to show us he's up to date on his shots, we cleaned chayce's mouth out, gave him some benadryl.... It was just a bad situation. I love my friends to pieces, but their dog. Not so much. |
I am sorry your son was bitten. Of course your son comes first. I am confused as to why you brought your dog over to someone else's home knowing they had a untrained pet? And little children are unpredictable as well as dogs... the dog may have been startled. Many toy breeds do not do well with young children. It is not just the terrier breed. Things happen in an instant.
To blame ALL terriers for being badly behaved, and terrible is not right. You were already having reservations about your friends dog, so I am very confused as to why you exposed your dog and small child to this situation? Going into their home , and having an idea as to what to expect, then something bad happens. As A parent often does, will place blame on anything and anyone when something happens to our kids. Yet it all could have been prevented in the first place.
My Suzi is the most loving, friendly sweet Yorkie ever. However, I would not trust a little child to be around her , for fear of something like this happening.
I am a bit confused as to why you would be a member on YT and not like the terrier breed? Does not make sense to me?
