Last year my 13 year old Yorkie had surgery for bladder stones. The vet said the bladder wall was a little thick so he did a biopsy of it. Chip had bladder cancer. I kept thinking they had to be wrong once the bladder stones were removed he looked and acted normal. The vet said that he only had 6-8 weeks left. Easter Sunday everybody was saying the vet had to be wrong Chip was acting like a puppy again. My adult children were all home and everybody was remembering him as a puppy. Three days later he was gone. Six weeks after his surgery. Even though I knew he had cancer it was still a shock when he was fine one day and the next morning I knew there was something very, very wrong. I thought it would happen over a period of time not over night.
