On three occasions her vet had an idea of what she should give (once for anesthesia, once for pain control and once for steroids) but wasn't 10000% sure. So what did she do? She looked it up or got a second opinion. She was right all three times and double checking didn't hurt a thing. |
Oh man...that was absolutely wonderful. I wish I had your vet - or one like her at least

It seems that alot of vets here, in this area, just aren't like that. I have heard stories about several of them here (meaning, not good ones), and I
thought I had the best one. My vet is all over T.V., does commercials for animal shelters and even does write up's for the paper - not that any of that makes him a "good vet" - but still. Actually though, lately I have been going to his partner (in the same building as him), and he is fresh out of school!

He is a graduate of Texas A&M and SHOULD be totally "up to date" on everything....well, he's the one that prescribed Tatum the Previcox

And the other vet (the one that does the commercials and write up's for the paper, etc.) is the one that prescribed my Cocker Spaniel the medication that ended up taking her life.
I just don't know what to do. You think everything is fine until something bad happens...and then it might be too late. It's like I don't know who to pick or who to trust. How do you know you have a *GOOD* vet
